VO, Best Urban Planning in Mexico ?

Today i got this video by email with a video created by

The Description of the video has been catalog as on of the areas with best urban planning in Mexico…

but i beg to differ… Valle Oriente (VO) has been growing apparently in an orderly manner, but this sense of order is due only the new architecture and somewhat wise distribution of areas.

But let me ask some questions…

  • How many walking people did you see in the video?
  • How many people did you see entering the buildings?
  • How many people actually used the city?

Except for the people excessing in bikes or jogging around the park, there is no one using the city, and even them, they got to the park driving…

There is no way to access this areas if not by car…
Have you guys tried to drive on main hours ? San Pedro, and Monterrey are still a car depending city… (most cars per capita in latin america)

Guys, really urban planning is more than pretty (subjective) architecture…

San Pedro Garza Garcia, (municipality which hosts valle oriente) has just opened their urban planning institute two years ago. Monterrey merely 40 years ago… The city has more than 410 years of development.

Serious urban planning is needed, not merely fancy buildings…
if you have any questions regarding The municipality’s urban plans write an email:
