The french say we might not be so crazy after all.

So it turns that the french goverment will give 175,000 USB sticks to high schools students in Paris. Such Sticks will be stuffed with Opensource Software. They will invest aprox US$ 3.4 million dollars.

“Its a way to reduce the digital divide” said spokesman Jean-Baptiste Roger.

Now we know that México is not a only one of the biggest producers of Piracy but as well as consumers. If the French think this will help fight both Digital Divide and Piracy… It should mean we shouldn’t we so wrong.

Although very similar our Ukini project provides not only with free software but a complete bootable kubuntu environment on the go. Another topic in we differ our learning management system and our community software. Since it will be opensource I’m pretty sure we will be able to share it world wide.
