The creator of Enciclomedia Program, Felipe Bracho afirmed that Mexico has position itself as the most “avant garde” country in the world thanks to this program, for no other country has a similar software. He added that the only country that exceeds Mexico is the England, but only in the amount of computers installed.Well I just happen to disagree mostly with this short sighted opinion. Above we can see rural school Broadclyst Community Primary School in Devon. Clearly we can see the technological superiority as bracho proclaims.But you would only have to take a look at the rest of the schools program to notice that their education is by far superior. Take a look at their arts program for example, arts and creativity are considered as important as any other subject in the curriculum, and even have a home school learning program.Please Dr. Bracho, please understand that technology itself is not innovation, neither will it bring a revolution to our education system, it’s merely a tool, not a solution. Our children are getting dumber with Enciclomedia, you allready have the results, please stop pushing the program.Technologically speaking, its badly designed… The thesis upon it was built wasn’t meant to be used as a learning tool, but information retrieval. It’s costly to maintain and to operate.All over the world schools are turning towards open source sustainable technologies, why do you want to lead Mexico into an obsolete model against all common sense ? England doesn;t has superiors education system because they have more computers… you keep thinking tech is solution… They have better education system because they enforce creativity and have modern education models…We have to make our children think… not memorize.i hope its not to late to make our politicians think…

With all respect to Dr. Felipe Bracho the Enciclomedia program is not social but personal and to get profit. He receives money from diferent sources, like his english proyect that he is defending a lot. Lets be realistic and open our eyes. The government should study himself and his near coworkers and partners to see the money they have before Enciclomedia and the money they have now so truth will be revealed. It is a shame that he uses people saying that this proyect is for our mexican children or that mexico is at the top level of technology use at classrooms, when education is the same and he has built a white elefant. This is how Mexico is like, this is the kind of people we have.
