While looking around for information visualization projects, i stumbled across an intresting project. Developed by Walter Rafelsberger. same dude that brought you some pretty graphics based on Rhizome Navigation and Processing.Any ways… this new project of walter’s is a very special mashup between a wiki and a mail service, how does this work? well in his words it goes something like this:

Basically it’s a wiki-based email client. That means you login to mawih with your mail account credentials and if you fetch your new emails they get saved as WikiPages. Your Inbox is RecentChanges. A conversation/thread is represented by PageHistory. To compose and send an email you create a new WikiPage and send it. To reply to an email you edit the received email/page and send it back.

Pretty cool hugh ? its still on development phase, but hell release it somewhere in january during the upcoming Webmontag in Vienna.Im still unsure of the how practical this could be, but its sure sounds intresting to develop, and don’t forget to check out his visualizations.cheers
