Last Thursday a friend handed over an old ipod g3 i think not sure, her ipod was bricked and wont even wanted to charge, so i just went and repaired it, but as i saw the main menu, it automatically reminded me of old conversations about mobility and learning.Gabriel Kent, the guys at restate media and I have had long chats on education innovation based on personal devices, from booting up a complete linux distro specifically booted from a player to creating a complete personal information enhancer and interaction device.Currently we have only built prototypes based on free software but we are still missing a lot of ideas on the content side, providing tools for learning is one thing, but it seems that public schools often forget that we can just forget about delivering content to any media (preferably we should make it open content). So i just went ahead and think how could we empower common users to produce and share content, since i had an ipod in my hands, there’s where i explored first. There are a lot of tools out there to do common tasks such as podcasting and vidcastings u didn’t placed too much importance on those, rather i compiled a list of more uncommon activities such and books notes and publishing. this list is by no means complete, but i hope it helps as a good start to learn how to create content for iPods
